Nina Ricci; Eau de Parfum

Upon my recent visit to Dubai to bask in the last few rays of strong sunshine before returning to London, I wound up spending two hours in the perfume section at Paris Gallery. From the numerous scents that I had spent spritzing the back of my hand and sniffing, the most arousing ones were the recent fragrances released by Nina Ricci.

French fashion house Nina Ricci boasts a collection of 46 alluring fragrances, each having its own charming and stimulating scent. Working with perfumers to create unforgettable collaborations, the perfume house released several fragrances that reigned the industry. L'Air du Temps is its most famous fragrance which has stayed in production since 1948.

I picked out my favourite perfumes...have a look below.

The one that tops my list however is Nina l'Elixir which was released in 2010. The sweet fruity, floral fragrance that sheds notes of red berries and cotton musk amongst a few is different from the many mature and classic Nina Ricci perfumes. Since the fragrance is targeted towards a younger clientele in the market they strategically chose British pop starlet, Florrie Arnold to be the face of l'Elixir. Read more here.

i just need my boots

Stylist, Cat Wennkamp proves to us how combat boots are one of this seasons biggest trends by dressing Ashley Smith in several outfits with just one pair of boots for this shoot in Oyster Magazine.. 

Burberry S/S 12 campaign

Cara Delevigne & Eddie Redmayne nail this flawless photoshoot for the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign for the Burberry lines. I love the upcoming seasons colour palette of brown hues with a combination of rust shades, olive green and off white. Apart from the savvy-glam trench coats the collection focuses on the design of its accessories that seem to be inspired by stripes and a fusion of different fabrics. Props to Mr Bailey! x x 

black & suede

I find it pretty hard to walk away from a fabulous pair of black sandals... I adore these five-inch black suede Carvela's. They make me 5'9 and i love feeling super tall! I can slip these on with any outfit. In the picture above I paired them with skinny jeans, but wearing them with a dress gives me the perfect evening look with a wow factor..x  x

as the sun goes down...

I took a week off to go to Thailand with the familia. Nothings better than spending a week in the sun on the beach in the winter. The week was spent sun bathing, swimming in the sea, overdosing on thai food and vintage shopping at random street boutiques in the city of Bangkok. Also, HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! the rose gold envelope

Got this as a graduation present last month.. I had my eye on it from when it came out. Esp because of the dull powder blue colour and big rose gold studs. I love the boldness of the studs, the soft detailing of the bag and the mirror to take sneaky peeks at :) Its chic with a rock n roll feel to it and easy to pair up with an afternoon or evening look... x x

the snapshot: vogue armenia

Arem Bedrossian does a phenomenal shoot once again, but this time its for Cosmopolitan Armenia. After flipping through the fairy-tale inspired feature I came across this shot. It reminds me of the tea party scene from Alice in Wonderland...except its more of an Alice gone wild dinner party. I like it because of the unusual composition and the perfect blend of colours. From the burgundy dress to the autumn leaves and dark wooden table...the excessive back combed blonde hair contrasts the frame making it more interesting... x x

'tis the season to be jolly

(late) merry xmas everyone!!! hope you had a smashing weekend. 

we don't really celebrate xmas in pakistan with a bang but we try... do you like my puny xmas tree? it looks prettier with the fairy lights on, plus i stole the silver tinsel from it to make myself a headband as this weekend's accessory. i wore the sparkly grey/silver Zara sweater with Topshop harem pants and Carvela heels to our xmas fam dinner. i'm glad the razzle dazzle trend of sequences and embellishments isn't planning on fading away any time soon...x x
