Estaban Cortazar

Columbian fashion designer Estaban Cortazar did us all a favour by leaving luxury brand Emanuel Ungaro and launching his own eponymous label.
I'd describe him as a minimalistic visionary, an expert at stylistic cuts and textures, the Jil Sander of our time. Twenty eight year old Cortazar launched his collection exclusively to Netaporter during fashion week on the 12th of September 2012. The range offers over thirty pieces at varied price points. View or shop the collection here.

November Shoe Wishlist

Balenciaga
Love these textured colour blocked heels. Candy pink and orange is the cutest combo on these pumps

Nicholas Kirkwood
I'm not a fan of frills but Kirkwood gives us a basic black pair with the perfect feminine touch.
Ash
If I look back at 2012 I'd say my favourite trend was anything and everything with metal on it. Its no surprise that I'm lusting on these studded biker boots by Ash.

Estaban Cortezar
One of my new favourite designers. I absolutely love his work and these gorgeous minimalistic white sandals with metal ankle cuffs

swifty burgundy

The fall go-to bag. The burgundy tote with an attachable shoulder strap from Prada's Galleria capsule collection. In these shots I'm wearing a white button down from Cos, indigo coloured shorts from Topshop, my oldest and most worn out boots from a nameless store in Soho, NY I bought back in 06'.

Playlist 12.09.12

I apologize for not uploading a playlist the past one month, work took over my life and I had no choice but to unfortunately neglect sharing my weekly favourite tracks with you. The playlist below consists mostly of deep house tracks, a genre I've been hooked onto since summer. Enjoy! :)

Tommy Ton favourites

Remember Archie the comic book from back in the day? Or actually back in my parents days... Love his jacket! I'm hunting for it online at the moment. Ps: I was obsessed with Archie comics, I even have a stash from the 80s!
The Prada smoking clutch bag. #swagger
How cool is her dress. It reminds me of a reptile.

Tommy Ton is a genius photographer/blogger and founder of fashion blog Jak & Jill. His work is often featured on Vogue Online, Style.com and other renown publications.

Sweater Vest

I wasn't really a fan of sweater vests they reminded me of a waist coat from a man's suit and assumed it would be unflattering to incorporate into an outfit. I got out of my comfort zone, which always proves to be fun. I wore this brown sweater vest/gillet to break an all black monotone day look. I like the slouchy finish of the vest that adds softness to the dark outfit.

Two Things...

The above two are items I intend to use and abuse this fall. The first is a pair of ankle length black leather Burberry boots. I prefer ankle length boots over calf-high or knee-high ones because they make my legs look short and if luck is on my side winter will be delayed this year and I won't have to resort to them anytime soon.
The second is this light denim (oversize) jacket with metal spikes on the shoulder from Ragged Priest. It makes me feel like I'm in a George Michael or Madonna music video from the 80's/early 90s. I'm totally enamored by it and would wear it everywhere possible...but that could look a tad bit ridiculous and so I'm saving it for the East & Soho! :)
Happy Wednesday!
