a few days ago, Lisa and I walked over to blue bird cafe on kings road to grab a quick bite. before heading into the cafe we popped next door into the blue bird shop. we browsed through some of the new pieces that had arrived at the store when i came across a constructed section that show cased NAHM's new collection. the recently launched new york based fashion brand is known for its signature androgynous shirt-dresses outlined with feminine accents. keep an eye out for their online store that launches soon. x x

rag & bone combines both work and play by show-casing a combination of blazers, trousers, cardigans, accessories, swim wear in a mix of playful colours. there's plenty of crochet, especially used in their hand bags. crochet in pastel shades reminds me of a sandy beach and warm sea water... ahh already miss the summer xx

Get Lippy for Allure

Mario Testino works his magic again with this spread in Allure Magazine's September issue. Ms Groeneveld and Clauson wear exaggerated make up and give us doll-like shots with their perfect wide eyes and bee stung lips while sporting designs from Burberry Prorsum, Prada and Gucci... i picked these two pictures out of the few from the editorial. unusual pictures seem to fascinate me... xx

when i can't sleep my i usually resort  to browsing through e-stores till my eyes start pulling.  having one of those nights right now. i'm exhausted after a long, long day and have been in bed for the last two hours. no luck. anyways, thought i'd share these beautiful wedges that i just came across. they're by theyskens' theory. mary jane styled except they have a chic pointed front that i prefer way more than a rounded one. a front platform, 6inch wedge heel and ankle straps make them look super easy to walk around in which i desperately need since i can be a klutz when it comes to wearing heels. i'm giving this pair the number one spot on my existing  shoes-to-buy list.. xx 

withdrawals

i woke up this morning having A major London withdrawal. can't wait to go back next week. this was taken a couple of years ago when i first moved to the city thats become my second home

the 'looks we love' collection by J.Crew featuring Jacquelyn Jablonski. this look book is very autumn-isque, with a dull colour palette, comfy knits, blazers, fitted trousers... i see alot of grey which makes me happy since its always my favourite colour during the fall season... xx

lemon soda

i have an odd taste for colours when it comes to nail varnish. my collection holds a bunch of super dark, pale-pearly shades and eye catching ones like the 'Lemon Soda' above. i love putting a double layer of the O.P.I top coat to make my nails look extra glossy.. xx

90s Dior clutch

i got this textured leather Dior clutch as a hand me down from my mom two weeks ago. she bought it in the early nineties. i love the envelope design, the navy blue shade, the monogram print; gives it a contemporary style. plus its an oversized clutch, perfect to fit all the junk i like carrying around with me. ladies.. you know what i mean :) ... xx 

Fall Trends: #1

we saw plenty of leather last season and continue to see more of it this fall. the black leather skirt is first on my list of fall trends. i have an eye out for a black pleated one ... xx

i love a stripey button down. i find it to be one of the most staple items in my closet, after a basic white tee ofcourse. it looks great with trousers, denims... i'm planning on wearing this particular shirt with a black leather skirt for one of my upcoming blog photo shoots. at the moment i'm on a super short getaway, which was planned a couple of days ago when i was in my hometown, karachi. since i live in london i don't keep much of my stuff in karachi. just clothes that are too out seasoned, ones i've grown tired of wearing or outworn. i ended up shoving a bunch of things that i hadn't seen over a year or two.

i wore this outfit to brunch today. will be putting pictures up soon... xx
